Currency peg

Il currency peg è il regime di cambio fisso: la banca centrale di un Paese si impegna a mantenere un determinato tasso di cambio nei confronti di un'altra valuta o di un paniere di divise. Nella maggior parte dei casi si tratta di una scelta unilaterale, è cioè la banca centrale della valuta che decide l'ancoraggio e che si impegna a difenderlo, mentre l'autorità monetaria della valuta alla quale ci si è ancorati non ha alcun obbligo di intervenire a difesa della parità prefissata.
